Second proceedings against far-right AFD politician Hoecke for the use of banned Nazi slogan, Halle, Germany - 24 Jun 2024
Protesters demonstrate with a banner reading 'Bjoern Hoecke is a Nazi' in front of the Regional Court building where proceedings began in the trial of Alternative for Germany (AfD) party faction chairman in the regional parliament of Thuringia, Bjoern Hoecke, in Halle (Saale), Germany, 24 June 2024. It is the second time that Hoecke had to appear in court for the use of a banned Nazi slogan. Hoecke is accused of having shouted the slogan 'Alles fuer Deutschland' (Everything for Germany) at an AfD rally in 2021, a slogan that was used by Nazi-era SA stormtroopers and the use of which is a felony in modern Germany.
