Paper wedding on display at Knole, UK - 29 Apr 2024
The bride's head dress is of course made out of paper
Here comes the bride, all dressed in... paper!
An artist has brought to life the glamorous society wedding of an aristocratic author with costumes made entirely from paper.
Denise Watson used tissue and crepe paper, card and paper table cloths to create the bridal party's outfits, shoes, hair and even the flowers.
The wedding of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson at Vita's childhood home of Knole in Kent was a grand affair which made the papers in 1913.
Denise spent three and a half months crafting the impressive bridal gown, as well as a bridesmaid, flower girl, pageboy and Vita's going away outfit.
