The world's largest An-225 transport plane has the first commercial flight after its modification to deliver the humanitarian cargo needed for fighting with the coronavirus COVID-19 from China to the European Union. The Antonov An-225 'Mriya' is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft that was originally designed by the then Soviet Union's Antonov Design Bureau in the 1980s. It is the only flying plane of its kind and longest and heaviest cargo airplane ever built. Powered by six engines it is able to take off with a maximum weight of 640 tons.
