Hoad's Wood in Kent.
The centre of this ancient woodland that has been used as an ilegal dumping ground for processed waste for months - The EA have now finally closed the site down now. There is no clear-up plan and by all accounts it's a disaster site. - Residents say tens of thousands of tonnes of hazardous landfill in the woods is giving off hydrogen sulphide, methane etc and leaching toxic chemicals etc into the soil and watercourses. - Between Aug and September 202 residents reported seeing 20-30 trucks visit the site, many without number plates. - One resident discovered that some trucks with number plates were past due MOT and should not be on the road. Residents report this to Ashford Borough Council, Environment Ageny and Kent Police who simply state they are aware and it is being dealt with.
