These young Borneo orangutans are seen playfully splashing and washing in a small body of water during a hot day in Ragunan Zoo, Jakarta, Indonesia. Irawan Subingar, 61, said, "Bornean Orangutans are common in their natural environment but are in need of conservation. I had been observing their behaviour here from a distance for hours." "In the photo, a baby Orangutan can be seen wetting its head with water. This happens during hot weather and although orangutans are not afraid of water, not all of them are good swimmers, so they are cautious and don't know how to use the water to cool off."重要情報
