Sahra Wagenknecht Criticizes Government in Final Rally Before European Elections, Berlin, Berlin, Germany - 06 Jun 2024
In a rally for the European election campaign, Sahra Wagenknecht, leader and founder of the newly established Buendnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW), criticized the current coalition government and called for immediate peace negotiations in Ukraine on June 6, 2024, at Neptunbrunnen in Berlin, Germany. Wagenknecht criticized the coalition, particularly the Green Party, SPD, and FDP, for what she described as hypocrisy and deceit. "We cannot continue like this," she said, highlighting issues such as high energy prices, low pensions, and inadequate wages. She called for an end to the war in Ukraine through diplomatic means rather than military intervention. Wagenknecht expressed concern about the use of German weapons by Ukraine to attack Russia. Wagenknecht also spoke against war initiators, including those in the Kremlin and past US Presidents responsible for various conflicts over the last three decades.
