UK Armed Forces Team Captain Corie Mapp pictured ahead of the Invictus Games, taking place in London 11-14 September 2014. The team has been trained and selected by Help for Heroes Corie Mapp, Sitting Volleyball: Corie Mapp, 34, was injured in 2010 by an IED blast in Afghanistan, where he lost both legs below the knee and suffered other severe injuries. Once heÕd been flown back to BirminghamÕs Selly Oak Hospital, he was place in an induced coma for eight days and underwent multiple surgeries. Corie is determined and hardworking and testament to these qualities is the fact that he was up and around on a prosthetics within two weeks of waking from his coma. Corie soon discovered the restorative nature of sport, and in particular a passion and talent for Sitting Volleyball. Corie is originally from Barbados.重要資訊
