Ha attraccato in porto a Genova la nave Geo Barents, la search & rescue vessel di Medici Senza Frontiere con a bordo 165 migranti salvati in area libica, 109 dei quali recuperati a bordo di un gommone e 37 da una barca in vetroresina. A bordo ci sono 33 minori di cui una trentina non accompagnati. Due le bambine, una di 3 e una di 8 anni. Diverse le donne, di cui due incinte. Tutti i migranti sono provenienti principalmente dall'Eritrea. Mentre viaggiava verso Genova, la nave ha recuperato in mare 11 cadaveri che sono stati poi trasbordati su una motovedetta della Guardia costiera vicino a Lampedusa. L'equipaggio ha srotolato sulla finacata della nave 11 sacchi bianchi, utilizzati per il recupero dei corpi dei cadaveri, 11 giubbini di salvataggio con la scritta ''Europe...How many more?'' e i numeri da 1 sino ad 11, a simboleggiare le salme recuperate in mare da un precedente naufragio di cui non si sa nulla. There are 33 minors on board, around thirty of whom are unaccompanied. Two girls, one aged 3 and one aged 8. Several women, two of whom were pregnant. All the migrants are mainly from Eritrea. While traveling towards Genoa, the ship recovered 11 bodies at sea which were then transferred to a Coast Guard patrol boat near Lampedusa. The crew unrolled 11 white bags on the side of the ship, used to recover the bodies of the corpses, 11 life jackets with the words ''Europe...How many more?'' and the numbers from 1 to 11, to symbolize the bodies recovered at sea from a previous shipwreck about which nothing is known.
