The Lancaster from the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight practising their display at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire on Friday morning after they gained their Public Display Approval. The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight were seen practising their display for the new season to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain as they gained their Public Display Approval this morning (Fri). The iconic planes were seen in the skies above their RAF Coningsby base in Lincolnshire as they got the go-ahead to carry out displays for the public this year. Their new display is called Dowding and is named after Hugh Dowding who was in charge of Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain
