People visit the historic Al-Mustansiriya School in Baghdad, Iraq, 20 June 2023. The Iraqi Ministry of Culture announced the reopening of archaeological sites in Baghdad and other provinces to the public to encourage domestic and foreign tourism in the country. The historical building of Al-Mustansiriya School was the premises of one of the oldest Islamic institutions of higher learning in the world, established in 1227 AD as a madrasah by the Abbasid Caliph al-Mustansir, making it one of the world's oldest madrasahs.
