Shanghai eases COVID-19 restrictions, China - 01 Jun 2022

On 30 May the Shanghai Government announced the lifting of most COVID-19 restrictions starting 01 June 2022. All residents will be able to leave their compounds freely without using any passes, except those living in medium and high-risk areas. Inner-city public transportation and taxis will also resume operation. Residents will be allowed to move freely using their own vehicles, however, they will still need to submit an application to authorities in order to leave the city.
