Art Of Work: The Phil Collins Installation At Tate Britain Showing The Staff Of A Tv Production Company - In The Past We Had Pickled Sheep An Unmade Bed And A Shed That Turned Into A Boat Then Reverted To A Shed. So It Will Come As No Great Surprise That This Year's Turner Prize Contenders Are Pushing Back The Traditional Parameters Of Art Still Further. For Her Entry Rebecca Warren Has Filled Five Display Cases With Rubbish Including Bits Of Fluff Dust Hair Plastic Twigs Woollen Pompoms Oh And A Discarded Cherry Stone. They Were Retrieved From The Floor Of Her Studio And The Road Outside In Hackney Wick East London. Her Other Works Include Giant 'chewing Gum Gobbets' Made Out Of Clay. The 41-year-old Is One Of Four Artists Shortlisted For The A25 000 Prize. Their Entries Went On Public View At Tate Britain Yesterday. The Other Three Nominees Are Abstract Painter Tomma Abts Poster Artist Mark Titchner And Film Maker Phil Collins. One Of Collins's Installations Is A Tv Production Company Set Up Within The Tate. Visitors Stand Behind A Glass Window And Observe Staff Working On Their Next Project.
