150 years looking after of the word's most famous clock, the Prague Astronomical Clock, REPÚBLICA CHECA, ES - 09 Dec 2020
Classic clocks are part of the landscape of Prague, known as the "city of a hundred towers" for its centuries-old devices of artisanal mechanics, among them is the Prague Astronomical Clock in the Old Square, part of a tradition that is still alive thanks to an old gardener: Mariana Nesnídalová. FOOTAGE OF THE WORKS BY L. HAINZ, THE CLOCK AND PRAGUE. SOUNDBITES OF MARIANA NESNÍDALOVÁ, DIRECTOR OF L. HAINZ. Translation: "It's a great responsibility. It's the most important historic site in our country in terms of technology. It's an honour. Our family has been looking after this site for a long time, and I think it's good. The astronomical clock is not just a clock, but a rotating star map. But it's simply a gem and you need to take care of it."
