Japan's telecommunication giant KDDI president Makoto Takahashi announces KDDI group will have more than 50-percent stake of generative AI start-up ELYZA for their capital and business alliance at a press conference in Tokyo on Monday, March 18, 2024. ELYZA announced last week they developed the 70 billion parameters Japanese large language model (LLM) for the company's generative artificial intelligence (AI).
