London North Eastern Railway (LNER), empty child's bedroom, Eldon Square, Newcastle, UK - 28 Jul 2021
Families in one of the worst affected areas of the UK for railway track trespassing are being confronted with a stark reminder of the dangers, after recent statistics revealed incidents over lockdown have surged up to 138% in some routes. London North Eastern Railway (LNER) has installed a set of an empty child's bedroom which has been hastily left and never returned to due to the tragic loss of life from trespassing. On display in Eldon Square shopping centre in Newcastle from 28th July until 3rd August, it aims to encourage parents and guardians to discuss the life-threatening dangers of railway track trespassing with their children to protect lives, families and communities.
