It was a busy day on the M25 Motorway as traffic passed through Iver Heath in Buckinghamshire today. This part of the M25 still has a hard shoulder, but other parts of the M25 are now a Smart Motorway which means that the hard shoulder has been turned into a live traffic lane and instead there are just intermittent emergency refuge areas. There are calls for Smart Motorways to be scrapped due to safety concerns and the number of deaths caused on them.
