Somali-British novelist Nadifa Mohamed attends a press conference for the Macondo Literary Festival, in Nairobi, Kenya, 30 September 2022. Abdulrazak Gurnah, the 2021 Literature Nobel Prize laureate, is in the country to grace the Macondo Literary Festival under the theme 'The Future of Memories' which will present African histories featured in literary texts and explore its possible futures in fictional and non-fictional texts. Among other authors in attendance are Naivo, from Madagascar, and UK author Hafsa Zayyan.
