Oh, the writing world, where you can be anything you choose at any given moment. No biggie. To channel the perfect words for your card's message, first identify what type of card it is. Birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation? Or, maybe it's a more sympathetic moment like Get well soon, or I'm sorry for your loss. Once you've established the card's purpose, simply write from the heart. If you were in their shoes, what would you want to hear? Customize your message so the recipient can hear your heart — as if you were in the same room. No need for novels or confessions, but if you get stuck, feel free to grab a quote, lyric, or passage that might inspire you to reflect. Carry on, Shakespeare!
Easy! You can print the greeting card yourself or bring it to a professional print shop. If printing yourself, make sure to buy some quality paper beforehand (with a matte or gloss)...a bit more elegant than your average printing paper. Of course, a professional print shop will also get the job done right and can assist you with questions. This can be costly, though, if printing hundreds for the holiday season. If you do send to a print shop, make sure to also account for bleed space. Since printers can't print to the exact edge of a document, keeping your design elements away from the edges will ensure that nothing gets cut off when printing. 1/8" on each side of your brochure design should do the trick.
