White March In Tribute To Shemseddine - Viry-Chatillon, France - 12 Apr 2024
Mayor of Viry-Chatillon Jean-Marie Vilain delivers a speech during a commemorative 'Marche Blanche' (White March) in tribute to 15-year-old Shemseddine, who died after being beaten as he left school, in Viry-Chatillon, on April 12, 2024. Somme 200 people gathered for the march a week after Shemseddine was beaten by a group, including two brothers, in a dispute linked to their younger sister on "subjects relating to sexuality", according to the Evry prosecutor. Two brothers and two other young people have been charged with murder over the teenager's killing.
