Kawan Lama Group, a big name in Indonesia's retail business, has once again made a significant presence at the China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair. This time, the company mobilized over 130 procurement professionals to explore the vast array of offerings at the global trade event. "Only unexpected, not unavailable," said William Widjaja, the procurement director of Kawan Lama Group, of the variety of the Chinese products on offer at the fair, which, according to him, has enabled a "one-stop shopping experience" for items ranging from toothbrushes to automobiles. A diverse range of Chinese products have also made their way into Kawan Lama's procurement list, and ultimately reached millions of households in Indonesia. Widjaja highlighted the company's longstanding participation in the Canton Fair since 1995. Kawan Lama Group did not limit its purchase to goods but has also expanded to various services offered at the fairs in recent years. The group has partnered with Chinese enterprises such as Guangzhou Light Holdings Limited, and these collaborations have enhanced the group's branding, product development, and packaging design, adding significant value to its business operations.
