Ukrainian-Polish artwork displayed on a damaged building in Kharkiv, Ukraine - 15 Dec 2022
Kharkiv artist Gamlet Zinkovsky sets up two paintings by a Polish artist on the wall of a damaged administrative building in downtown Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, 15 December 2022, amid Russia's invasion. The two paintings, made by Polish artist Maciej Vogel and depicting two ladies knitting a scarf in the colors of the Ukrainian and Polish national flags, a symbol of strong bond between the two countries, were put on the wall of a Kharkiv administrative building damaged by shelling. Russian troops entered Ukraine on 24 February 2022 starting a conflict that has provoked destruction and a humanitarian crisis.
