Supporters of Palestine and Hamas Demonstrate in Munich, Germany - 28 Oct 2023

Two demos of so-called â€oeTankiesâ€� from far-, fringe, conspiratorial left, Turkish extremists, antisemites, Islamists, Querdenker, and conspiracy theorists gathered together in Munich, Germany to protest the Israeli mission in Gaza after the shocking terrorist attack by Hamas. The groups have not condemned Hamas, nor the terrorist attack, but instead immediately took to the streets to celebrate in the form of the heavily-criticized â€oeFree Palestineâ€� demos and with the hopes of setting their â€oerevolutionâ€� against the state into motion. These demos have been largely seen as displays of incitement where Israel-related hatred is redirected towards Jews in Germany and conspiracy theories are spread, thus leading to an uptick in antisemitic hate crimes. The supporters of Hamas in Germany have been using social networks to incite Muslims (Ummah) to bring chaos to Germany, commit property damage, and ultimately bring the foreign war to domestic soil. Critics state that many of the talking points brought forth by these groups are no more than conspiratorial talking points distributed by Hamas and others designed to dehumanize Jews, delegitimize the State of Israel and its right to defend itself, and make conditions for them unsafe worldwide. The so-called Querdenker are attempting to infiltrate the demos in order to further then goals of toppling the state and the system.
