Combined heat and power plant Berlin-Mitte on October 27, 2022. The German government is launching an emergency aid program worth billions for around 20 million gas customers. As a result, gas and heating customers will be exempted from their budget payments for December. The "emergency aid" will compensate for increased energy bills in 2022 and bridge the gap until the gas price brake is introduced next spring.
