Passengers stranded as pilots of Kenya Airways go on strike, Nairobi - 05 Nov 2022
Kenya Airways planes parked at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) during disruption of flights due to pilots' strike, in Nairobi, Kenya, 05 November 2022. At least 400 Pilots at Kenya Airways went on strike after their union, Kenya Airline Pilots Association, called for a strike on 05 November, which according to the airlines officials affected some 10,000 passengers and 6,000 tons of cargo. The pilots are demanding the airline to meet some of their labor related matters before resuming work, while the Kenya Airways threatens to take 'disciplinary action' giving striking pilots a 24-hour ultimatum to return to work.
