Denmark's Food Administration announced on 12 June its decision to recall several noodle products, including Buldak Samyang 3 x Spicy & Hot Chicken, Buldak Samyang 2 x Spicy & Hot Chicken and Buldak Samyang Hot Chicken Stew. The DTU National Food Institute evaluated the products and concluded that the noodle packages are harmful to health due to the high capsaicin content. Possible symptoms include burning and discomfort, nausea, vomiting and elevated blood pressure, said unit manager Henrik Dammand Nielsen from the Food Administration. Large amounts of chili pose a particular risk to children and frail adults.
