A workshop and company in Kabul, run by women, are producing sanitary pads and providing employment for over 35 women, including poor women, young girls, and breadwinners of their families. The women-led company, established by Arzoo Osmani in 2021, aims to support poor women and girls who were previously unemployed due to restrictions imposed by the Islamic Emirate. Alongside producing sanitary pads, the company conducts awareness programs on hygiene and provides education on menstrual health. However, the company faces challenges in sourcing raw materials and expanding its operations due to economic problems and lack of support.
