Former President Donald Trump exits his Manhattan residence on the second day of the first-ever criminal case involving a President of the United States on April 16,2024 in New York City. Trump is charged with a coverup concerning paying " hush money" to an adult film star Stormy Daniels. The case brought by Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg stipulates that Trumps former attorney Michael Cohen paid Daniels, on behest of the former president, $130,000 to hide Trumps personal involvement with the film star. The New York case is the first of several impending cases against Trump, including cases in Florida, Georgia and Washington DC.
