Marie Curie (1867-1934) Polish-born French physicist, in 1925 with her daughter Irene Joliot-Curie (1897-1956), nuclear physicist, who worked as her mother's assistant at the Radium Institute, Paris, and who shared Nobel prize for chemistry with her husband.
