JAL passenger plane bursts into flames at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan - 02 Jan 2024
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida speaks to journalists at the prime minister's official residence in Tokyo, Japan, 02 January 2024, after a Japan Airline (JAP) passenger plane crashed with a Japan Coast Guard plane at Tokyo's Haneda Airport. The airplane carrying 367 passengers and 12 crew crashed with a Japan Coast Guard plane transporting relief supplies for earthquake disaster area. All passengers and crew on board the passenger plane evacuated safely. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, five of the six crew on board the Japan Coast Guard aircraft, excluding the captain, were confirmed dead.
