Some churches reopening in Georgia with precautions, Canton, GA - 26 Apr 2020
Action Church, a modest congregation that meets in a former grocery store in this small community north of Atlanta, reopened for service Sunday taking all recommended safety precautions. Ã'I refuse to apologize for meeting. I also refuse to apologize for taking every precaution we could to honor the requests of our governor and our local government to practice safe social distancing,Ã" Pastor Gary Lamb said. Ã'We were one of the first churches in the country to open back up, not out of defiance, but out of conviction, and I think we did it well.Ã" Lamb, who is an unpaid volunteer pastor, said he has talked with more than 100 churches from across the country in the last week, sharing the practices Action Church put into place.
