The funeral of Linda Stein, New York, America - 02 Nov 2007
Paul Shaffer.
Linda S. Stein, a New York City real estate agent who helped foster the careers of punk pioneers the Ramones as their co-manager, is dead at sixty-two.
Family and friends of the late 'Real-estate agent to the Stars' Linda Stein, attended her funeral at the Riverside Chapel on Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan. During her lifetime Linda cultivated friendships with stars as varied as Madonna and Iggy Pop and was manager of the cult New York Punk band The Ramones. The 62 year old who had battled breast cancer which resulted in a double mastectomy, was found bludgeoned to death in her apartment earlier in the week. Police ruled Stein's death a homicide and attributed the cause to a "blunt impact trauma to the head and neck."
