My Background My names is Rex Jaymes and I’d like to start by saying thank you for your interest in my labor of love! Capturing images has been a passion of mine since my youth, starting off with my family’s Kodak Brownie box camera. I remember the first time I held a Polaroid Instamatic camera in my hands and how mystified i was, watching the black and white prints appear. I couldn’t fathom this: photos in my hands, without delivering/leaving a roll of film behind at the print shop. My inspiration comes from the beauty of the nature that surrounds me. My goal in all of this is to present you with a unique perspective on the natural beauty that surrounds us. I photograph scenery in a variety of states, though Colorado is my home now and my focus (pun intended). Beauty, I've found, is all around us if we take the time to notice and accept it. Photography as Communication We are all surrounded by natural beauty and I use my camera to document that. I want my pictures to tell my stories and I hope to share my love of Nature.
