Heavy rainfall and floods, Bagnacavello, Emilia-Romagna, Italy - 04 May 2023
After heavy rainfall and the resulting flooding in the DEMA regions of Emilia-Romagna, entire areas of the countryside are under water. The town of Bagnacavallo and its surroundings are particularly affected. The railway line between Bologna and Ravenna has been closed. Whole capacity was under water. A huge three-edged river passes through the suburb of Bagnacavallo. The industrial area is completely underwater. Some houses are cut off from the outside world. The cause is a dam break at Boncellino. The dam has broken at more than 100 meters. Since then, the water masses are flowing through the city of Bagnacavello.
