The fire fighters had to travel by Boat on Pyramid Lake to fight the remotest areas of the fire on day three of one of the first massive blazes of the 2024 Fire Season. The Hot Shot crew is returning from a 12 hour shift mopping up burning areas on the very steep and difficult terrain. Pyramid Lake, located in the Angeles and Los Padres National Forests, is a reservoir formed by Pyramid Dam on Piru Creek, near Castaic, California.
