This Morning And I'm A Celeb Star Josie Gibson at the "5° of Vision" Brail Art Show in LondonJosie Gibson hosted a talk for Grove Gallery at the Dorsett Hotel on behalf of winning blind braille artist clarke Reynolds to launch his second solo show "5° of Vision," Clarke Reynolds was born in 1981 with limited sight in his right eye. He was later diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, an incurable eye condition that eventually led to his loss of vision. A childhood that was marked by adversity didn't stop the incredible spirit that is Clarke Reynolds, where his sketchbook became a sanctuary. Drawing inspiration from pop artists from Andy Warhol and beyond, Clarke integrates Braille into his works that tell a story through the power of touch. Vibrant, spectacular, and thought-provoking, these works come from a unique perspective and invite the audience to look at art in ways beyond sight. Beyond his art, Clarke is a dedicated educator, teaching Braille in schools and advocating for its importance in accessibility. His passion for art and Braille shines through in his commitment to promoting their benefits, touching the lives of many. The title, "5° of Vision," reflects Clarke's journey and the limited degree of sight he retains. Through his art, Clarke aims to break barriers and challenge perceptions surrounding sight loss, inspiring others to embrace their own unique perspectives. With the support of Grove Gallery, Clarke's art and message have found a welcoming platform. His resilience and determination serve as a beacon of hope, reminding us that creativity knows no bounds and that true vision transcends physical sight.
